Meta (Facebook) Ads
DataGlass connects to Meta as a fourth data source alongside your marketplaces. One Facebook Business grant pulls your ad accounts, catalogs and Pages into the workspace, and a Meta ads dashboard reports campaign performance beside your Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop numbers.
The connector is account-wide, not per-shop — one consent covers the whole workspace, so there is no shop selector on the connect page.
How to connect Facebook
- Go to Ads → Facebook Ads, or open Settings → Integrations → Facebook directly.
- Click Connect Facebook. Meta's consent dialog opens in a separate window.
- Approve the permissions. You land back on the connect page with a count of the ad accounts that synced.
- Review what came across — ad accounts, catalogs and Pages each get their own section.
- Use Re-sync later if you add an ad account on Meta and want it pulled in now.
The permissions you approved are listed as chips under Granted permissions. To revoke them, disconnect here or remove DataGlass in Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
What DataGlass reads, and what it can change
| Asset | What DataGlass does with it |
|---|---|
| Ad accounts | Reads performance data. Account and billing settings are never touched. |
| Catalogs | Read-only. Reads each catalog's product IDs and retailer SKUs so ad reports can name products you recognise. Never creates, edits or deletes catalogs or products. |
| Pages | Read-only. Identifies which Page each ad's promoted post belongs to. Never posts, comments or reacts as your Page. |
| Campaigns | Pause, resume and archive are the only writes, and only when you click them. Budgets and bids are never changed for you. |
Disconnect deactivates the workspace's connection: ingestion stops and the synced data is removed. Your Meta campaigns are unaffected, and reconnecting later revives the connection.
Reading the Facebook Ads dashboard
The dashboard covers a trailing 30 days from ingested Meta reporting data — the most recent day may still be filling in.
- Pick the ad account at the top. Everything below is scoped to it.
- The KPI row shows Spend, Purchase value, ROAS and Purchases.
- The Daily trend panel plots spend against purchase value, with a table toggle for the underlying days.
- The Campaigns grid lists each campaign with its status, type, spend, purchase value, purchases and ROAS. Search runs server-side, and the Status column facets to Ongoing or All status.
- Click a campaign to open its drill-down — the same KPI row and daily trend for that campaign alone, plus its Page posts.
CPAS and Normal
The CPAS and Normal tabs show the same campaign grid, because the reporting endpoint has no CPAS/normal split to filter on. What changes is how the tab reads the numbers:
- Normal shows the account's plain ROAS.
- CPAS swaps the ROAS column for catalog ROAS — catalog-segment value ÷ spend — and adds a per-product section below.
The per-product (SKU) breakdown is CPAS ad performance per catalog product, joined back to your own retailer SKU. Meta reports these rows against its own catalog product ID; DataGlass reads the catalog feed to translate each ID into your product code. Products it cannot map are marked Unmapped.
Where to see whether Meta spend made money
The dashboard answers how did the campaign deliver. To ask did it make a profit on a Shopee shop, see CPAS profit — it joins Meta's attribution to Shopee's settlement and reports both bases separately.
