Managing campaigns in a group
Row actions differ in what they touch: the platform, group membership, or both. Two of them cannot be undone, so read the table before clicking.
| Action | On the platform | In the group |
|---|---|---|
| Pause campaign | Stops delivering | Stays. Gets a zero allocation; its share goes to the others |
| Resume campaign | Delivers again | Stays. Rejoins the allocation |
| Remove from group | Nothing — keeps running | Splits out into its own single-campaign group |
| End campaign | Stops for good, cannot restart | Stays, keeps its reporting history |
| Delete campaign | Destroyed along with its history — permanent | Dropped |
End vs Delete: end when you want the campaign stopped but the history kept for analysis; delete only when the campaign should never have existed.
Remove from group is blocked on a group's last campaign — there is nothing to split it out of. End the group instead.
Adding campaigns
The group's Campaigns tab has two doors, and they are not the same gesture:
- Add Campaign absorbs a campaign that already runs on the platform. The picker is the same grid as the create flow's Use existing ads step — status, ad type, ads spend, ROAS and daily budget on every row, with the group holding it today named beside its id. A campaign already in another group moves here in the same save.
- New campaign launches campaigns that do not exist yet, one per product, at the launch budget you set. From the group's next run each one spends whatever the allocation gives it.
The Campaigns table
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
| Ads Spend | What the campaign has actually spent |
| Allocated | What the latest solve gave it |
| Target ROAS | The target on the platform — editable on supported manual campaigns |
| Daily Budget | The campaign's own budget on the platform |
| Campaign Daily Budget | The group's optional ceiling for this member. Managed automatically when unset |
A campaign the solve funded below the platform minimum reads Unfunded: it is paused for the day rather than underfunded, and comes back the next day the allocation can fund it properly.
Group-level actions
- Auto Bid on — makes runs actionable, resumes the member campaigns on the platform, and starts writing budgets.
- Auto Bid off — stops optimizing and pauses every active member campaign. This is the same thing as pausing the group: a paused group is one with Auto Bid off.
- End group — stops every member campaign on the platform for good and ends optimization. Membership, settings and reporting history stay readable.
- Edit name — renames the group in DataGlass. Campaign names on the platform are untouched.
Where the controls live
Auto Bid is a switch at the top of the group's page, above its figures, with End group beside it behind a confirmation. Hold and stop are pinned to the right of every row, on all three tables that show a group: the Ads groups table, the group's own Campaigns tab, and the Ad group tab on a campaign's detail page. Remove, delete and rename stay in the row menu, each with its own confirmation.
Everything else about the policy is edited in one place: the group's Global settings tab.
Housekeeping
- Every campaign in the shop belongs to a group. A campaign DataGlass has just ingested and has never grouped gets its own single-campaign group automatically — there is nothing to run by hand after connecting a shop or launching campaigns in Seller Centre.
- Editing a group's settings and membership is one save. Campaigns you drop are split into their own groups rather than left orphaned.
- An active group must keep at least one campaign — pause the group first if you want to empty it.
On TikTok
Campaign controls work differently, and the Campaigns tab says so inline:
- Pause and End are the same write: both close the campaign's delivery window, and both can be resumed. TikTok GMV Max has no terminal state.
- There is no Delete.
- Remove only detaches the campaign from the group and leaves it running on TikTok.
- A campaign you paused on TikTok yourself stays in the group and keeps reporting, but the group allocates it nothing.
