Price elasticity

Shopee
See the demand and profit impact of a price change before you commit — expected orders, margin shift, and confidence bounds.

Price elasticity answers the question: "If I change the price by 5%, how many fewer orders do I lose, and what's the net profit impact?" It shows expected order count with a confidence interval, profit-per-day delta, and per-order margin change, all for a specific buyer-type and time period.

How to use it

  1. Make a price change in the financial breakdown (adjust original price, seller discount, voucher, or cashback).
  2. Select a day type — Normal, Discount Day, Mid-month, or Payday — to override the default forecast regime.
  3. Read the impact panel — expected orders change, daily profit delta, and margin shift per order.

Why this matters

Price elasticity is the bridge between "what's the margin?" and "what's the demand risk?" A high-margin price cut might lift volume enough to raise profit. A small price bump might hurt more than you gain. Elasticity gives you the math instead of guesses.

The confidence interval widens if demand history is short or noisy. Wider intervals mean less certainty. In that case, start with smaller changes and track the actual outcome.
