Requesting whitelist approval
Shopee
What to send Shopee with the downloaded product list — a letter of intent stating who you are, what rises and why — with an example letter to copy.
The downloaded .xlsx is the evidence, not the request. Shopee expects a short letter of intent alongside it — who is asking, which products rise, why, and from when. A request that arrives as a bare file usually bounces back with questions, which costs another round trip on an approval that already takes days.
How to request it
- In the draft's Deploy step, download the Needs whitelist list (see Price increase whitelist). It carries each product's SKU, current list price, new list price and new selling price.
- Write a letter of intent. Keep it to one page and make sure it states:
- your shop name and Shop ID,
- how many products rise and that the attached file lists them,
- the business reason — rising supplier costs, a commission change, currency movement,
- the date you want the new prices to take effect,
- a contact person Shopee can reply to.
- Submit the letter with the file attached through the channel your shop already uses to reach Shopee — a Seller Center support ticket or your account manager.
- Wait for the approval; it typically takes a few days. The draft keeps the list, so you can follow up later from any machine.
- Once Shopee confirms, return to the Deploy step and tick Shopee has approved these price increases.
Example letter
Subject: Request to whitelist price increases — [Shop name] (Shop ID: [shop ID])
Dear Shopee Seller Support,
Our shop, [Shop name] (Shop ID: [shop ID]), requests approval to increase
the list prices of [count] products.
Reason: [e.g. supplier costs and the recent marketplace commission change
have risen, and the current list prices no longer cover them].
The attached file ([file name].xlsx) lists every affected product with its
SKU, current list price and requested new list price.
We would like the new prices to take effect from [date], or as soon as the
whitelist is approved.
Please contact us if any further information is needed.
Kind regards,

Approval is manual on Shopee's side — there is no API and no fixed turnaround. If nothing comes back within a week, follow up on the same ticket rather than opening a new one, so the request keeps its history.
